UGM supports sustainable land use by organizing events such as the Asian Trans-Disciplinary Karst Conference, cave mapping expeditions, summer courses, land restoration training, and youth seminars that promote conservation and responsible utilization of forests and wildland.

UGM ensures sustainably farmed food on campus by enforcing ethical sourcing policies and supplying campus facilities with PIAT-produced organic crops, aquaculture products, livestock, and other sustainably grown produce such as medicinal plants, citrus varieties, hydroponic melons, and honey.
