Indian Ambassador Visits UGM Chancellor

UGM chancellor Prof. Panut Mulyono welcomed the ambassador of India Manoj Kumar Bharti, who visited Indonesia on Wednesday (7/4).

During the visit, which took place on Wednesday (7/4) in the Living Room of the Rector of UGM Head Office, Manoj suggested cooperation, especially in education. He revealed that the Indian government has 1,000 scholarship programs aimed at students in ASEAN countries.

“India has 1,000 scholarship programs available for ASEAN, including Indonesia. We hope that these scholarships can be utilized, including by UGM students,” he said.

He also hopes that the Indian government can expand cooperation with UGM in the future. Not only in the field of education but also in other strategic fields.

UGM chancellor Prof. Panut Mulyono welcomed the submitted offer of cooperation. According to him, it is very potential to collaborate with India, including through a scholarship program.

“There is great potential for collaboration with India. Hopefully, there can be good cooperation in the future,” he said.
