Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) will host the 2021 Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI).
KRI is an annual robotics competition for students from public and private universities in the country organized by the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Puspresnas Kemdibud Ristek). Previously, the implementation of KRI was always carried out offline. However, since 2020 the competition has been held online because of the pandemic.
Deputy Chair I for Implementing KRI 2021, Dr. Suherman, said KRI is an annual robotics competition for students from public and private universities under the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. The implementation of KRI 2021 is entering its 19th year since first held in 2003.
“KRI is a prestigious competition awaited by all Indonesian students as an opportunity to channel talents, interests, creativity, and ideas in the field of robotics,” he explained in a talk at UGM Update on Tuesday (14/9).
Suherman added that there were six divisions in the contest: the Indonesian Ash Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Search and Rescue Robot Contest (KRSRI), previously known as the Indonesian Fire Extinguisher Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI), Humanoid KRSBI, the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI), and the Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest (KRTMI).
