Gadjah Mada University and the Provincial Government of Lampung have agreed to collaborate in the fields of education, research and community service. The signing of the collaboration was carried out by the Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng and the Governor of Lampung, Arinal Djunaidi, at Mahan Agung, the Governor’s Office House of Lampung, on Saturday (14/3) night.
The collaboration which was carried out simultaneously with a gala dinner held by the Governor of Lampung was attended by a number of Lampung Provincial government officials, UGM leaders and the Gadjah Mada University (KAGAMA) Alumni Family.
“Through development and cooperation, we hope that the people’s economy in Lampung will rise,” he said.
In the future, said Arinal, the Lampung Provincial Government will continue to strive to increase the rate of regional economy by realizing Lampung as the locomotive of agricultural development in Indonesia.
“With the cooperation of UGM and other universities in Lampung Province, I want us to work together, I need guidance from universities,” he said.
On the occasion, the governor also invited UGM staff to unite and work together to bring Lampung forward to become hope for Indonesia.
“I hope for the support of the community, especially UGM and Kagama, let’s continue to discuss this further, if needed, we will meet together regularly with other university alumni. Let’s unite on how to make Lampung become Indonesia’s hope in the future,” he proposed.
Arinal said that the Lampung Provincial Government together with the regency / city government continue to be committed to realizing the vision of Victorious Lampung People who are Safe, Cultural, Advanced, Competitive and Prosperous.
Meanwhile, UGM Rector, Panut Mulyono, is ready to support Lampung Province as the locomotive of agricultural development in Indonesia.
“Let us support Lampung together as an agricultural locomotive in Indonesia so that agricultural products from Lampung Province can supply national needs and even export to foreign countries,” said Panut.
Panut hopes that UGM alumni can contribute to Lampung Province by having concrete programs for the progress of Lampung.
“It is not just a gathering of fellow alumni, but it has real programs for the advancement of Lampung,” he said.
