UGM Won Fusion Innovative Contest 2019

Students of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have won the Fusion Innovative Contest 2019, which was held from 10-12 October 2019 at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).

Team members Joko Purwo Leksono YP, Qooi Insanu Putra, and Dwi Nurarifah won the competition by proposing the idea of ​​developing a student mental health monitoring system that was integrated with the university’s internet network.

The system called Mojitive was made under the guidance of Fuad Hamsyah, S.Psi., M.Sc.

“The system is developed as an effort to increase students’ awareness on the importance of maintaining their mental health and increasing literacy on this subject,” said Joko on Thursday (17/10).

The system is used as a monitoring method of the student’s mental health development. It is done through a map of the distribution of mental health disorders.

“Outside the system, mental health development of the students is also monitored from time to time,” he explained.

Fusion Innovative Contest 2019 is a competition organized by IEEE ITB Student Branch, raising the theme “Technology for Humanity.” It has five sub-themes, namely Renewable Energy, Financial Technology, Social Technology, Health Technology and Eco-Friendly Technology. The event was attended by undergraduate students from various universities in the Asian region.
