UGM is directly involved in SDG policy development by supporting government and NGO initiatives through poverty- and stunting-reduction programs, nationwide community service deployments, and expert policy assistance from PSPPR and CPPS in producing SDG-aligned regional plans and evaluations.

UGM participates in cross-sectoral SDG dialogue through special policy classes for government officials and multi-stakeholder events such as SDG Talk, ICERM 2024, and various forums that engage researchers, government, industry, and NGOs in sustainability discussions.

UGM participates in international SDG data collaborations through joint karst research with Chinese scientists, UNESCO-affiliated IRCK partnerships, and the Asia-Pacific UI GreenMetric Workshop involving global sustainability benchmarking.
