Faculty of Pharmacy UGM Distributes PPE to Health Service in Yogyakarta

Many parties keep doing actions to help alleviate Covid-19 pandemic. Faculty of Pharmacy UGM has consistently made various efforts to help the community deal with this pandemic, including keep producing hand sanitizer and viral transfer medium.

In line with these efforts, Faculty of Pharmacy UGM also continues to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers in Yogyakarta through the Yogyakarta Health Office, Sleman Regency (Medicine and Medical Devices Management Unit, Sleman Regency Health Service), as well as Gunung Kidul District (Karangmojo II Public Health Center). The PPE distributed included a Faceshield, a long sterile glove, Google, and a medical N95 mask.

On June 9, 2020, the UGM Faculty of Pharmacy also distributed hand sanitizer to each visited institution.  The Faculty of Pharmacy UGM team is led by Dr. rer nat Endang Lukitaningsih, M.Sc., Apt., as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, and participated in these activities, Dr. Ika Puspitasari, M.Si., Apt., As the Head of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Dr. Nunung Yuniarti, SF., M.Si., Apt., Dr. Adyatmika, M.Biotech., Apt., Dr. Eng. Khadijah, M.Si., Apt, Hardika Aditama, M.Si, Apt, Mifthahus Sa’adah, M.Si, Apt, and M. Novrizal., M.Eng., P.hD., Apt.

The aid package for Yogyakarta was received by drg. Yudiria Amelia as the Head of P2P Health Office of Yogyakarta as well as PIC of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Control of the Yogyakarta Health Office, Dra. Arrosianti Zahrul Falasifah, Apt, Head of Regulation and Health Resources and Drs. Sholihin, Apt, Head of Pharmacy, Medical Devices and Food Beverages. Meanwhile, for Sleman Regency, the aid package was received by the Head of POAK of the Sleman Health Office, Winarni S.Si., M.Kes., Apt, and for Karangmojo II Public Health Center, the aid was received by Purwanti SKM II, as the Head of  Karangmojo II Public Health Center.

“The source of this aid comes from the 2020 community service fund, and this is a form of commitment from the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM to ease the burden on society to break the chain of spreading Covid-19,” said Endang Lukitaningsih, at the UGM Campus, Friday (12/6).
