An alumnus of Mechanical Engineering of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Nosal Nugroho Pratama, has produced 3 patents in technological innovation in 2019. The patents are recorded as Intellectual Property Rights patent in a document issued by the Director General of Intellectual Property in the Law and Human Rights Ministry.
The patents include an e-voting (election voting) platform, formaturk3mi.id, which has been integrated in a bigger platform, and K3MI.ORG.
In addition, he made a field balancing premium application platform that became a breakthrough in the field of Corrective Maintenance Engineering of turbomachinery equipment, such as turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, disks, and various other rotating machine tools.
“This application is a single and two plane field balancing calculation software application that is integrated with vibration converting unit features, polar graph visualization and the first comprehensive report in Indonesia,” Nosal said.
Another innovation is an integrated social networking service platform for labor unions which is based on sharing and a multi-sided business platform and can be accessed on k3mi.org.
“K3MI.ORG not only means owning business, but also enables everyone in the labour union to use it,” he said.
They can be actively engaged in organisational activities through interactive features, namely the e-voting, polling, and aspiration features. He said this would significantly change the methods and techniques of communication; how labour unions run their organizational activities and make decisions.
“Enrichment materials of organizational discussion will be more productive, effective and efficient with the help of the aspirations of all members through the K3MI.ORG platform,” he added.
The election voting feature has also been registered as one of the innovation patents that receives intellectual property rights. The polling feature has been implemented optimally in assisting trade union organizations in making major decisions by providing facilities that can involve all members in making strategic policies.
This platform, he said, can solve many of the interests of organizational activities in a platform that is adaptive and relevant. The system in the K3MI.ORG platform can assist in decision making, while providing up-to-date information related to the activities of trade union organizations through the news and financial reporting features.

“We can imagine the impact of the K3MI.ORG as a platform that can solve problems in multi-sided business through innovations in information technology,” said Nosal.
