To achieve sustainable development, the development process must be considered in relation to the effect it has on the environment, through the promotion of an environmental ethic. The term ‘sustainable development’ refers to Agenda 21, which calls for attention to be given to environmental issues, by taking into account the social, economic, and cultural aspects of natural resource management, including bio-component diversities and other natural resources. To respond to these issues, the Environmental Science Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada is using a geographical ecology approach which integrates the physical, biological and socio-cultural aspects of the environment. There are some study interests such as environmental science, environmental management, geo-information for spatial planning and disaster risk management, and technology for sustainable development. - Courses Contain Sustainable Development Goals
