UGM’s Community Engagement for Water Conservation: World Water Day and Beyond

World Water Day commemoration by UGM Residence which is a form of effort to involve society, community, and academics to maintain and preserve clean water for sustainable life.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, some World Water Day Commemoration activities cannot be carried out like the previous year. However, this is not a barrier for UGM Residence managers to continue commemorating World Water Day using technology. Furthermore, the commemoration of World Water Day is a form of effort to involve the community, community, and academics to maintain and preserve clean water for sustainable life.

Conference on water usage

DPKM UGM and a delegation from Kyushu University (8 professors and 3 students) visited the community to introduce the role of universities in community empowerment to support the achievement of SDGs, especially in wastewater management at the city level through UGM community service programs.

The Kyushu delegation’s visit to Code Riverbank to explore a special wastewater management project is expected to provide an understanding of how the application of affordable technology in the community can improve wastewater management in riverside communities.
