Universitas Gadjah Mada and PT Philippines Antiviral Indonesia collaborate in education, research, and community service. This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., with the President Director of the Philippines Antiviral Indonesia, Mario Pacurso Marcos, in the Senate Hall, UGM Main Office, on Friday (23/10).
Marcos expressed his appreciation to UGM for agreeing to cooperate with this pharmaceutical company from the Philippines. According to him, this cooperation can last a long time and provide benefits to the community. “We want this collaboration to be sustainable for humanitarian purposes,” he said.
He assessed that UGM, as one of the largest campuses in Indonesia, had contributed in the form of research products in overcoming the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. “I think UGM has taken quick steps by preparing several solutions during the current pandemic conditions,” he said.
UGM Rector, Panut Mulyono, said that this collaboration is expected to provide benefits for both institutions. He noted that UGM has various research products and knowledge in encouraging the growth of the pharmaceutical and health industries. “UGM has established good cooperation with large industries as well as small and medium industries so that it has a broad impact on the community,” he said.
