Tsunami and earthquake natural disasters have hit the people of Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi. To help with the emergency response, the UGM Disaster Response Unit (DERU) sent a team to conduct an assessment and distribute aid. To support the team’s operations in carrying out their duties and bearing in mind the constraints of electricity availability, UGM PSE developed portable PLTS to supply energy for emergency needs including charging cellphones, laptops, lights, and satellite phones.
Potable PLTS are equipped with 80Wp (4x20Wp) solar panels which can be folded and carried in a suitcase, 12V 28Ah battery, 5V 4A 4 port charger, and 300Watt inverter. This system can be carried in two portable carry-on luggage.
