UGM SCS-CEL Students Produce 6 Projects in Bojonegoro

The JI-056 SCS-CEL (Student Community Services-Community Empowerment Learning) team of UGM students, Temayang District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java within 25 days of implementation has produced 6 outputs of projects during the SCS-CEL program. The projects were inaugurated on Tuesday (23/07) by the Assistant for Economy and Development of Bojonegoro Regency, Drs. Setyo Yuliono who represented the Regent.

The SCS-CEL team was supervised by drh. Anggi Muhtar Pratama, M.Sc. and chaired by Aisah Nurul Fitri. They have produced a Guide Book for Jono travel books, Smart Barn (a sophisticated device for detecting temperature, humidity, and automatic cage water), Gamanjono homestay, Gamanjono Batik, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) products, and Beef Cattle Umbaran Cages.

In this series of projects, Dr. drh. Yuriadi, MP and drh. Erif Maha Nugraha Setyawan, M.Sc., Ph.D. conducted counseling on livestock health and livestock reproduction for members of the livestock group. In addition, activities were also carried out to provide worm medicine, vitamins, and minerals in beef cattle pens with the team from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Bojonegoro Regency. Besides the location of the service event, an SME exhibition was also held.

The arrival of lecturers from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and guests from various agencies in Bojonegoro to the location provided an opportunity for the women livestock group to sell their processed SME products. These products are the result of assistance from SCS-CEL students. This exhibition received attention from the Bojonegoro Regency Industry Service.

Suliana, S. Sos. as the Head of the Forest Products Industry at the Industry Service gives fresh air through her speech for the women of the livestock groups to continue their business. In this case, SCS-CEL students act as a bridge between the women livestock group and the government.

Besides the inauguration, exhibition and counseling, this event presented a variety of typical Bojonegoro art performances, namely karawitan, Tengul dance, and Tayub dance. Not only the local community presented performances, SCS-CEL students also participated in giving musical and ketoprak performances. For several weeks the students have been practicing with the local community so that they can perform the typical Bojonegoro art.

Through this event, it is hoped that the continuous SCS-CEL program would realize a technopark based on beef cattle groups in Bojonegoro that could run smoothly with the support of all parties.
