4.3.5. Lifelong learning acess policy

UGM’s Inclusive Access Policy: Ensuring Equal Opportunities for All

1.Rector’s Regulation Number 16 Year 2016   The university curriculum, referring to Article 8, is developed to be accessible to everyone in Indonesia and internationally, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender.

2. Rector’s Regulation Number 14 Year 2020

The Rector’s Regulation No. 16 of 2016 was then updated in 2020. Related to the UGM Chancellor’s Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the university Curriculum Framework, educational programs at UGM are developed to be easily accessible to everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender. The university must provide ample space to become a lifelong learner who is creative, innovative, and thinks critically (Article 7, Paragraph E).

3.Rector’s Regulation Number 2 Year 2023 

The Rector’s Regulation Number 2 of 2023, Article 3 Paragraph 1 explains that undergraduate and applied undergraduate programs are admitted at the beginning of each academic year in the odd semester through national or independent admission channels. It firmly shows that the university ensures that anyone can access student admissions regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender. 

4.   Strategic Plan 2022-2027 

All of these policies are firmly in line with the University’s Strategic Plan for university governance, which is committed to universal principles: social justice, equality, inclusivism, and sustainability (P. 22, UGM is a campus that maintains unity, diversity, and nationality).
