The UGM Pancasila Study Center established an organization under the name Berbagi Bites Jogja. Several programs that the organization has conducted involve distributing foods to communities in need, including UGM students, and programs at food banks. In 2024, they collected 15.4 tons of food from stores, restaurants, catering businesses, and hotels. These foods are handed directly to UGM students that register for the program.

In 2024, during the Idul Adha Islamic holiday, UGM distributes meat from the qurban or animal sacrifices (usually beef and lamb meat).

The UGM Medical Cluster also participates in meat distribution during the holiday. Through the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, sacrificial meat from 3 cows and 1 lamb was distributed to residents of the UGM on-campus dormitories, including the students who reside in the dorms, and students from the Faculty of Medicine, Public Hearth, and Nursing. The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) carried out a similar initiative, distributing a total of 320 boxes of sacrificial meat to the Faculty of Dentistry’s students, staff, and faculty, as well as to community members at the Prof. Soedomo Dental and Oral Hospital, and several local areas in Klaten, Kulon Progo, and Condongcatur.

In 2024, the UGM Rumah Zakat Infaq (Rumah ZIS), a university organization that provides social, health, and economic aid to UGM’s campus community and local communities,  distributed the meat of 12 cows and 50 goats to UGM community members and partner villages in the Gunung Kidul Regency. The number of sacrificial animals and beneficiaries continues to increase each year, indicating strong public trust and community participation. This program also reflects UGM’s real commitment to social responsibility, particularly in contributing to regional hunger alleviation and improving community welfare.
