UGM identifies areas of highest energy waste through regular energy reviews, real-time monitoring via its BMS, building-level electricity tracking, and periodic audits and training led by the Directorate of Assets and the Center for Energy Studies.

UGM implements a divestment-oriented policy that avoids investments in high carbon-emitting industries, supported by sustainable procurement rules, green transportation initiatives, EV charging facilities, and expanded renewable energy systems to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
