UGM SDG 4 REPORT:
ENSURE INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE QUALITY EDUCATION, PROMOTE LIFELONG LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL
“FREE ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AT UGM: COURSES, FACILITIES, AND TRAINING PROGRAMS”
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is committed to providing free access to educational resources through various initiatives, including Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), library services, and training programs. The implementation of MOOCs supports UGM’s Strategic Plan 2022-2027 and aligns with the Indonesian government’s regulations on quality assurance in higher education (Permendikbud Ristek No.52 from 2023). These online courses cover diverse topics, such as business, health, politics, and digital transformation, making them accessible to individuals outside the university community.
The eLOK platform at UGM offers courses created by faculty members, such as those from FK-KMK and FISIPOL, enhancing the learning experience through quality modules and videos. Furthermore, FISIPOL has established facilities like the Digital Intelligence Class to support free education on Artificial Intelligence (AI), demonstrating UGM’s commitment to the Merdeka Belajar initiative. The three progressive stages of AI learning facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
UGM also fosters talent development through the Gelanggang Inovasi & Kreativitas (GIK), which provides significant opportunities for students to enhance their soft and hard skills. Additionally, UGM has collaborated with various faculties to offer business management training that aims to bolster Indonesia’s food sovereignty, successfully engaging over 100 farmers.
