Universitas Gadjah Mada collaborates with Narasi, a national mass media platform, presenting three Presidential Candidates in Mata Najwa on Stage entitled ‘Bacapres Bicara Gagasan’. This activity is part of the political education process, which is also part of the realisation of the campus contribution to the maturation process and the implementation of quality democracy.
Related to political and religious education issues, the University, through the Unit for Research, Publication, and Community Service (UP3M), held a monthly discussion entitled Islamism and Politics in Indonesia. The agenda openly discussed three main points, namely nation-state building, developmentalism, and democracy.
Related to women and political issues, the University held a Talkshow for stakeholders and the general public to come together and discuss the encouragement of representatives of women in politics that has been endorsed by the political party law, where each political party must include 30% women’s representation.
