  1. Technology Innovation to Anticipate Drought in Agricultural Land as Water Resources Conservation.

Faculty of Agriculture UGM conducted a water resource conservation program in Nawungan farmland, Imogiri, Bantul, to overcome drought in farmland and make Nawungan a prototype of productive conservation agriculture. This water resource conservation program collaborates with the Lestari Mulyo Farmer Group, an association of Nawungan farmers, to be directly involved in a series of programs.

Rainwater Harvesting

  1. KKN-PPM UGM Students Install Rainwater Harvesting Installation ‘Gama Rain Filter’ at Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Lampung

Gama Rain Filter, which converts rainwater into an alternative source of clean water directly, is a breakthrough from UGM hydrology experts that is applied by KKN-PPM UGM students in various places, one of which is located at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda, Serbajadi 2, Natar, South Lampung. This technology installation mainly aims to mitigate clean water supply shortages and sustain rainwater conservation. Rainwater, previously only a potential water source, can be optimized with this technology.

  1. UGM Students Turn Rainwater into Valuable Drinking Water in Gunungkidul

Students of the Department of Civil Engineering, Vocational School UGM have successfully obtained funding in the Village Community Empowerment Program (P2MD Dit. APTV) to convert rainwater into valuable drinking water in Banyumanik Hamlet, Pacarejo, Semanu, Gunungkidul Regency. The idea of converting rainwater into useful products is to fulfill the need for drinking water and create economic opportunities in Banyumanik Hamlet.

  1. Village Community Empowerment Program (P2MD) Team of Student Family of Civil Engineering Department, Vocational School Improves Economy in Banyumanik with GAMA Rainfilter

The Village Community Empowerment Program (P2MD) team of the Student Family of the Department of Civil Engineering, Vocational School held a program to implement the Gama Rain-Filter appropriate technology as a driver of the creative economy in Padukuhan Banyumanik, Gunung Kidul. The Village Community Empowerment Program is a community empowerment activity carried out by students through the Student Activity Unit or Student Executive Board to foster student concern and contribute to the village community.

The Gama Rain Filter technology used in this project converts rainwater into clean, safe-for-consumption raw water. This equipment was installed at Muara Pantuan Village Office in East Kalimantan, with accessibility for all residents in mind.
