UGM’s commitment to protect the victim in case of sexual violence in Article 7 stated about Services to Victims as it mentioned previously in Article 6, Verse 1. There are some stages due to protect and facilitate the victims due to counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, legal assistants, and other assistants in accordance with needs.

Rector’s Regulation Number 1 Year 2023

UGM’s commitment to the prevention and handling of sexual violence is reflected in several articles that set the standard for reporting discrimination and educational disadvantage. Article 2a states that UGM aims to “maintain the standard of values and human dignity at UGM, and protect the entire UGM Community from all forms of Sexual Violence.” This commitment is further supported by Article 3, Verse 2a, which states that it is prohibited to “deliver speech that discriminates against or harasses a victim’s physical appearance, body condition, and/or gender identity”. In cases related to sexual violence, the university has a special unit to Handling Sexual Violence based on Rector’s Regulation Number 1 Year 2020. The university also provides the guidelines for reporting, handling, and preventing sexual violence.
