The university curriculum, referring to Article 8, is developed to be accessible to everyone in Indonesia and internationally, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender.
The Rector’s Regulation No. 16 of 2016 was then updated in 2020. Related to the UGM Chancellor’s Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the university Curriculum Framework, educational programs at UGM are developed to be easily accessible to everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender. The university must provide ample space to become a lifelong learner who is creative, innovative, and thinks critically (article 7 point e).
The Rector’s Regulation Number 2 of 2023, Article 3 Paragraph 1 explains that the admission of undergraduate and applied undergraduate programs is carried out at the beginning of each academic year in the odd semester through national or independent admission channels. It firmly shows that the university ensures that anyone can access student admissions regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, or gender.
All of these policies are firmly in line with the University’s Strategic Plan for university governance, which is committed to universal principles: social justice, equality, inclusivism, and sustainability (P. 22, UGM is a campus that maintains unity, diversity, and nationality).
