Upholding Labour Rights: Building A Foundation for Inclusion, Training, and Employee Well-Being

Recognizing and upholding the labour rights of UGM employees, including the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, is essential for fostering an equitable and inclusive work environment on campus. UGM ensures that these rights extend to all employees, embracing both women and international staff, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in workplace dialogue and decision-making processes.

Employee Training Programs

University employee training programs are part of UGM’s commitment to upholding labor rights and fostering a fair, inclusive workplace. By offering training programs to all staff, including women and international staff, UGM empowers its workforce and strengthens skills, equity, and collaboration.

Among the many training programs, UGM supports its employees’ retirement transition through comprehensive Pre-Retirement Training. Educational staff are given guidance on mental readiness, health, and financial management. They also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on entrepreneurship training, covering skills like mushroom cultivation, hydroponics, and digital marketing. Led by experienced professionals, the sessions allow UGM employees to prepare for independent ventures after retirement.
