Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) offers accessible childcare facilities to support students, particularly recent mothers, in attending university courses. The UGM Women’s Association manages Tunggadewi Day Care. Tunggadewi provides childcare services for children aged 2 months to 5 years. It is located at Sekip Blok M-5 Bulaksumur on the UGM campus. Established on January 7th 1986, it already has 1,600 alumni who now work in various areas (32 years of Tunggadewi Day Care)
The Masjid Kampus UGM Kindergarten and Play Group is an early childhood education institution affiliated with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Family Wellness Center at the University is a facility designed to support the well-being of the academic community, particularly those with young children. Established on June 2, 2022, the centre operates on a co-parenting concept, providing services for children from 3 months to 5 years old (Opening of Family Wellness FISIPOL). Services Offered are daycare and half-care programs, occasional drop-off services, and health screening in collaboration with the Gadjah Mada Medical Center (GMC). The centre provides routine health screenings, including general health and dental check-ups, to monitor and support children’s well-being.
UGM dictates that working hours fit the time schedules of schools. Schools generally start in the morning and finish in the evenings.
