Universitas Gadjah Mada received an oxygen generator engine from Bank Mandiri. The oxygen generator will be used to support the handling of Covid-19 at the UGM Academic Hospital (RSA).
“On behalf of UGM, we express our deepest gratitude for the assistance given to UGM in providing services to the community, especially Covid-19 patients,” said UGM Chancellor, Prof. Panut Mulyono, at the event which took place on Tuesday (14/9) at the UGM Hall.
The Chancellor revealed that UGM had received a great support from partners in a collaborative effort to overcome the pandemic. This shows a stronger working relationship between UGM and partners, including Bank Mandiri.
“During the pandemic, UGM received many facilities to handle Covid-19 including oxygen concentrators and generators, PPE, and others, from UGM partners,” he wrote.
Hospital leadership requires human resources, adequate facilities, and infrastructure to provide excellent service.
RSA UGM continues to improve the quality of human resources and complete facilities to support services, especially to respond to high needs during the pandemic.
“RSA is one of the Covid-19 referral hospitals, which is the foundation for the people in DIY,” explained the Chancellor.
He hopes the support given to RSA UGM can benefit the community receiving hospital services.
Similarly, the President Director of UGM RSA, Dr. Darwito, stated that oxygen generators are indispensable for handling Covid-19 in hospitals, and other medical treatment after the end of the pandemic.
“Hopefully, the pandemic will end soon, and this tool will also be available for other purposes than for Covid-19 treatment,” said Darwito.
Senior Vice President of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, Dessy Wahyuni, revealed that this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance is a form of Bank Mandiri’s support to UGM and RSA UGM to support health services in DIY.
The machine is an Oxygen Generator 10 LPM + F worth Rp. 267,832,589.00. It can produce 1 – 10 liters/minute of oxygen with a purity level of 93%.
