Supiori is a regency in Papua, located about 3 hours drive from Biak. Fertile soils and abundant marine products add to the region’s extraordinary potential. Fish is one of the big seafood commodities in Supiori, but until now the catch is often abandoned due to lack of fish storage (cold storage).
Papua Province Research and Development Agency and UGM PSE jointly develop and apply renewable energy technology to supply energy in fish cold storage with a capacity of 425 L. This device is sufficient to store fish and its processing products in cold conditions, to extend the life of food storage.
