A total of 269 researchers and academics from various parts of the country gathered at UGM to present the results of their research in the Annual National Seminar on Fisheries and Marine Research Results XV 2108 at the UGM Faculty of Agriculture. The event, which was held by the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture UGM, is a scientific forum held as an effort to disseminate knowledge and technology in the field of fisheries and marine. Also, a forum for developing strategies for developing fisheries and marine technology to improve community welfare. The papers presented raised various themes, such as nutrition and feed, cultivation engineering, fish and environmental diseases, marine affairs, fisheries resource management, fisheries socio-economic and post-harvest.
State-owned fisheries compile long-term strategic plans, some of which are through strengthening fishery by utilizing technology, increasing volume and export destination countries, becoming a strategic partner of the MPA, and facilitating the production of aquaculture fish and shrimp feed. Besides, it also manages the Muara Baru modern fish market and is a financially sound SOE with significant profit growth.
