The Solar Power Plant Program (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya) and the Capacity Building of Green School Communities in two villages from the KEMALA program have been inaugurated. The inauguration was attended by the Berbak District Head and local officials alternately held, Sungai Rambut Village on February 20 and Rawasari Village on February 21. The program, which has been running since July 2016, ends in February 2018, has installed PLTS with a total capacity of 62,500 watts peak. The programs carried out specifically the Renewable Energy Development PLTS are carried out to support households, public facilities, knowledge centers, and production houses. Berbak Sub-District Chief, Mr. Suiswanto said that what had been given and built could be maintained and could be utilized as well as possible in the context of the welfare of the village community in general. The presence of BUMDES in Rawasari and Cooperatives in Sungai Rambut will strengthen institutionally.

The PLTS electricity capacity supports the productive activities of the community. The hope is to increase productivity through reducing dependence on fossil fuels by using renewable energy, improving land management and agricultural cultivation, environmentally friendly agriculture, to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The project aims to increase community income to reduce poverty and energy use and encourage environmentally-friendly behavior by reducing carbon emissions. capacity building to encourage collective awareness and citizen participation through optimizing the functions and benefits of natural resources. One of them is through the Green School which is the core of knowledge management, capacity building, and technical assistance activities. And the use of renewable energy through the PLTS development.
Achievement of KEMALA in Sungai Rambut and Rawasari Village besides installing PLTS is the Construction of a Green School which is also a Production House. Various kinds of processed food products have started to be produced, a trademark carried for two different villages. One of the good things is the prospect of clean water treatment in the two villages. This is because the land of the two villages is peat and clean water needs are still inadequate. The hatching of eggs for integrated poultry and duck farming and the provision of rice and cocoa farming methods are also provided to increase the capacity of local communities.
