UGM Being Praised for MBG Fish Cultivation Technology

General Chairman of the Indonesian Farmers Association (HKTI) General of the TNI (Ret.) Moeldoko attended the fish harvest using the microbubble generator (MBG) technology created by Gajah Mada University (UGM) students. He admitted that he was proud that Indonesian students were increasingly applicable to the interests of farmers. MBG generator created by UGM students can improve the quality and quantity of freshwater fish farming. This discovery answers the main thing about how the benefits for farmers directly.

MBG technology is the manufacture of micro air bubbles with a small generator. This bubble that enriches oxygen in the water. This efficient technology is inexpensive and has been tested in freshwater farming. Also, MBG can produce harvests more than three times a year. From three harvests to four harvests. The use of electricity is minimum to turn the wheel. UGM senior researcher Professor Rustadi said the developed MBG technology had been proven to be able to increase feeding efficiency, as well as the number of fish that live longer.
